Why is it, this i can take my bipolar med during un pregnant, but not while nursing?

my doctor told me, it was sure to take while it was pregnant, but not certainly while nursing, but i dont understands why

i asked the doctor, and she/it said the dose un on will kill the twins if i breast feed and thats that all i could get from her
